Build up of Metal Chips on a Cutting Saw

Category: Deactivation & Decommissioning > Dismantlement & Material Disposition
Published: 1/17/2008 Last Updated: 3/20/2008

An issue has been occurring in which there is buildup of metal chips and fines in the Side Dust Cover on the 7" Evolution Metal Cutting Saw. During cutting, the chips and fines are jamming up the workings of the saw blade guard and preventing it from retracting out of the way during a cut and then returning to the guard position at the end of a cut. Can you suggest a posible solution to this problem?
