A researcher at the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre who is involved in nuclear emergency planning is looking for methods to fix radioactive material to the soil after it has been spread into the environment after an incident. They know a similar technique was used after the Fukushima incident, but have not been able to identify the methodology. What techniques are available to fix radioactive material to the soil surface?
