Misting equipment for inside tanks > Solution Details

Whirly applicator

Tank Farms often apply fixatives in tank pits using an applicator called a “whirly”. The whirly is a rotating nozzle that is lowered into a tank pit and applies fixative in all directions (rotating nozzles photo below). Lechler, sells the whirly and a verity of other spray nozzle systems that may be of interest. Heavy equipment manufacturers and dealers will often have standard misting equipment you can install on their equipment. The Hanford Heavy Equipment Maintenance Shop can also install misting equipment.
