High Pressure Water Blasting System

Category: Decontamination > Surface Cleaning > High Pressure Water
Reference # : Model No : 10 K Hydrolazer

The 10K Hydrolazer utilizes high pressure water blasting system to remove coating and rust from surfaces. The basic system is capable of 10,000 psi blasting pressure. The water is sprayed through a nozzle or a system of nozzles onto the surface. The coating is removed by the impact of the water stream. The stripping action can be supplemented by pre-softening with an alcohol solvent or by including hard or soft abrasives in the water stream. Dimensions of technology model (L x W X H): Not Available Weight of the technology model (lb): Not Available

Can operate up to 500 feet away from the blasting unit. Water can be recycled but needs to separated from paints chips. There is no size limitation on part to be cleaned. Water encapsulates contaminants and thereby reducing airborne contaminate. System can be adjusted in order to remove individual coating layers. No special removal media is required. System is modular and requires minimal set up time. The system was able to reach the edges of the metal.

Nozzle gun is heavy and induces a high level of fatigue in the operator. The secondary waste produced is large if the water is not being recycled. The unit requires a rather large water supply. A system must be available to collect, filter, and recycle water containing debris. Workers must be protected from direct impingement of water jet due to the extreme danger from the water jet. A misapplied water jet will damage the substrate.
